Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex offers Genie DC and Bi-Energy equipment which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For instance, in industrial situations where the machinery should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and versatility of a diesel fueled generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machine.
Important features that this combination offers is over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls offer the machine with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine

The diesel engines with articulating booms offer zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machinery are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they offer excellent torque, terrain and grade maneuverability and supreme power. The diesel engines are generally quiet too. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces which are uneven and rough.
The 2 or 4 wheel drive models, provide high ground clearance and the rough terrain features that make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom kinds are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
